2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • create, review and deliver your Aashatype Card;
  • share your card with Signed Employers when you have chosen to share it;
  • check that you meet the minimum age and work eligibility requirements;
  • operate, secure, fix and improve the Service;
  • communicate with you about your card, your account and changes to our terms;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not use your photo for facial recognition or any other biometric identification.

3. How We Share Your Information

With Signed Employers, at your direction. If you choose to share your card, we share it with businesses that have signed an agreement with us. They receive your card, including your name, photo, Aashatype profile, Bring and Need statements and the contact details you choose to include. Their agreement with us limits use to evaluating you for jobs, bans resale, and requires them to keep the data secure and delete it on request.

With service providers. We use trusted providers to run the Service, such as survey tools, cloud hosting, email delivery and analytics. They may use your information only to provide services to us.

For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, where the new owner must keep this policy’s protections.

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Your Choices About Sharing

You decide whether your card is shared with employers. You can turn sharing on or off in your account settings or by emailing support@aasha.com. When you turn sharing off, we stop sending your card to new employers and instruct employers who already received it to delete it.

You can remove your profile photo at any time. Your card will then be shown without it.

5. Minimum Age

The Service is for people who are at least 16 years old and legally allowed to work. Candidates aged 16 and 17 may use the Service to find part-time and summer jobs, as allowed under applicable child labor laws. Signed Employers must use the Service through a representative who is at least 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If we learn we have, we delete it and do not share it with any employer. If you believe a person under 16 has used the Service, contact us at support@aasha.com.

6. How Long We Keep Your Information

Information Kept for

Profile photo Until you remove it or delete your account
Records of your sharing consent 3 years after consent ends, to show we followed your choices

When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your information within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.

7. How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your device and login details secure.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we hold about you and how we use and share it;
  • get a copy of your information;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your information;
  • withdraw consent to sharing your card with employers;
  • not be treated differently for using these rights.

To use these rights, email support@aasha.com or use your account settings. We will confirm your identity before acting on a request. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your written permission.

  • Disclosures: we disclose identifiers, personal records, professional information and profile inferences to Signed Employers only when you direct us to, and all categories to service providers for business purposes.
  • Sale and sharing: we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the information of consumers under 16.
  • Sensitive personal information: we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would give rise to a right to limit its use.
  • Shine the Light: we do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
